Simply put, there is no "third party" in our relationship with you. We understand and respect your expectations regarding privacy. Only you can authorize us to share personal information with a third party who intends to offer you a product or service.

Confidentiality also means protecting your financial information. We have physical, electronic, and organizational safeguards in place to protect customer information. We continually review our policies and practices, monitor our computer networks, and test our security in order to ensure the confidentiality of customer information.

Protecting Information
At Republic Bank of Georgia, we are committed to protecting the information you provide to us. The information we request is used to provide our customers with superior service and convenient access to the right products and services. We recognize that our customers have high expectations regarding the use of their information. Therefore, we at Republic Bank of Georgia are committed to the following set of principles:

  • We share information regarding customers within our Bank and affiliated companies only in accordance with strict internal security standards, confidentiality policies, and applicable law.
  • We hold our employees fully accountable to those standards, policies, and laws.
  • We do not share information about our customers with other companies except in order to conduct our business, comply with applicable law, protect ourselves and our customers against fraud, or to make available special offers of products and services that we think may be of interest to our customers. We may also provide information to regulatory authorities and law enforcement officials in accordance with applicable law.
  • We have established high standards for protecting information regarding our customers from unauthorized alteration or destruction.
  • We investigate customer inquiries regarding information received from Republic Bank of Georgia (or from a credit bureau reflecting information provided by Republic Bank of Georgia) that the customer believes to be inaccurate or incorrect. Customers should notify us if they receive information regarding their Republic Bank of Georgia account(s) that they believe to be inaccurate.

When is personal information collected online?

Applications:
When you apply for either a deposit account or a loan, or when you enroll in Internet Banking, you will be asked for personal information in order to process your application. The Bank and its business partners who will help provide you with the requested product or service may retain this information.

Internet Banking and Bill Paying:
When you Bank online with Online Banking or use the bill paying feature offered by Republic Bank of Georgia and our business partner who helps us deliver these services to you, we will have access to your business information. This information is retained on either the Bank's or our partner's systems in order to provide you with the services you have requested.

E-mail:
When you send us an e-mail, we will retain the content of your e-mail, your e-mail address, and our response in order to handle any follow-up questions that you may have.

Can I be taken off any solicitation lists?
Sometimes we send our customers information about products and services that we think will be of interest to them. If you do not wish to receive this information, please call us at 678 638-4000.

Can I check my personal information to see if it is correct?
If you have any reason to believe that your personal information retained at Republic Bank of Georgia is inaccurate, please call us at 678 638-4000. We will investigate the problem and, if appropriate, update the Bank's records.

Important Financial Privacy Terms:
Nonpublic personal information means information about you that we collect in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. Nonpublic personal information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records.

An affiliate is a company we own or control, a company that owns or controls us, or a company that is owned or controlled by the same company that owns or controls us. Ownership does not mean complete ownership, but means owning enough to have control.
